The Syrinx wind uintet began to develop from the performance of W.A.Mozart’s Concertante Symphony for Winds K.297b, which four of its members offered accompanied by the UCA Orchestra (Argentine Catholic University Orchestra) in late 1995. During the following year they presented with the pianist Eduardo Waisbein, the Piano Quintet K.452 and, along with other musicians, the Wind Octet K.375, both works also by W.A.Mozart.
It was not until 1997 that with the incorporation of the flutist Laura Falcone, the ensemble became a quintet, adding the works of Reicha, Ligeti, Francaix and Poulenc to their repertoire, among other composers.
During its brief existence this group offered numerous concerts in venues of the Buenos Aires City such as the Borges Cultural Center, Auditorium of the National Conservatory, Golden Hall of the Municipality of La Plata, and participated in the recording of the CD «Chamber Muic for Saxophone» by María Noel Luzardo.
